Artist feature: Michael Peckitt
For years Michael’s artistic interests lay dormant, although he was a keen collector of art. Eventually he decided to study in Gloucestershire and discovered his fascination with painting and then went on to attend the School of Jewellery in Birmingham gaining a Post Graduate Diploma and there finding his true vocation: to make very colourful jewellery.
This handmade designer jewellery is shaped from acrylic and anodised aluminium with fittings handcrafted from sterling silver. Michael Peckitt works colour into his unique jewellery accessories. Acrylic is painted in layers and then sealed and made into dazzling bangles, bracelets and pendants.
