The King of Hearts is a venue for the arts in the city centre of Norwich. Often described as a 'hidden gem', this spectacular Tudor Building sits by the Wensum river and houses a Contemporary Art Gallery, a Music Room, Craft Shop, four Meeting Rooms and a spacious Café.

Since opening in 1990 after a major restoration project, the King of Hearts has acquired a reputation of excellence for the high quality of its artistic events and hospitality. Bringing to a remarkable piece of heritage the energy and creativity of contemporary life, it has created a haven of beauty and relaxation, where people can enjoy the arts in a welcoming and informal atmosphere.

The Gotto collection often shown in the Gallery includes such artists as Derrick Greaves, Kathleen McFarlane, Ann Maria Pacheco, Sir Terry Frost and many other local artists. The concert series specialises in baroque and contemporary chamber music, and has invited such luminaries as James Bowman, Gustav Leonhardt, Pavlo Beznosiuk, Richard Egarr, London Baroque, Red Priest and Peter Hill. Performances and exhibitions are enhanced by the two medieval halls in which they take place, with their beamed ceilings, large fireplaces and mullioned windows.
